S.K.P Engineering College is a self financing college, sponsored by Sri. S. Kuppusaamy Memorial Educational Trust has been started in the year 1999 with a noble aim of imparting technical education to the rural masses in and around Tiruvannamalai. The instituion enables them to be placed as the best professionals in industries and make them enter into high level programmes with competence and confidence. The college is approved by the AICTE, New Delhi and currently affiliated to the Anna University, Chennai. The college, initially approved to start with four B.E. / B.Tech programmes with the student intake of 240, now is offering seven B.E. / B.Tech. programmes in UG and seven PG programmes in Engineering and one PG programme in Management with annual approved intake of 810 students.

LIBRARY: The Library is a repository of 65,000 books,The digital Library, which has 100 PCs, subscribes to more than 250 online journals.
VIDEO CONFERENCING: With the modern technological upgradation and the use of laptop by the students, the students gain exposure to advanced level of teaching like video conferencing for delivering quality lectures to a large number of students.
CANTEEN: Canteen facility is made available to cater snacks, coffee, tea and other refreshments to the students and the staff members throughout the college hours. A pleasant landscape with modern kitchen and hygienic food are the main attractions of the place.
GYMNASIUM: A Health Gym well equipped with highly sophisticated machines is available for the students to keep them sound and healthy. Machines like Tread miller, Military press, Squat machines, Stepper, Rowing Machines are utilized by the students of institution under the guidance of the Physical Director.
GUEST HOUSE: Every Care is taken to see to the comfort of visiting Professors and guests who can stay at the fully furnished and air-conditioned guest house. Spread over 13,900 s.ft, the guest house has 15 A/C double rooms.
