Saroj Mohan Institute of Technology (SMIT)

Saroj Mohan Institute of Technology (Degree Engineering Division) SMIT was established in 2003 with a vision to provide well-rounded technical education to students from all over the country. SMIT is currently operating the Degree Engineering Division as a joint venture with the Techno India Group (TIG). The institution is approved by AICTE, Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) and affiliated to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), formerly West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT), and offering regular courses in various engineering disciplines. Students at SMIT come from diverse cultures and backgrounds and have been placed in prestigious organizations in various sectors such as IT, infrastructure and Consulting.

Audio Visual Auditorium: The Saroj Mohan Institute of Technology, Guptipara, Hooghly has fully functional, Air Conditioned auditorium with a seating capacity of 410 persons. The auditorium has a state of the art audio-visual system and a multi-functional lighting arrangement. Various cultural programmes, lectures and college annual function are organised in this auditorium.
Multi-Gym (Boys And Girls): The Saroj Mohan Institute of Technology (SMIT) inaugurated a Multi-Gym for student, staff members in the college campus. A Nine-station multi-gymnasium, equipped with all the facilities required for fitness-treadmills, cycles etc. has been setup in our college campus.
Play Ground (Boys And Girls): Our College has three excellent play grounds for students with indoor and out door sports facilities. One in front of the college building , one is in the center of the campus and third one is adjacent to Hoste. Students plays Football, Cricket, Volleyball, Badminton etc.
Wi-Fi Campus: Our campus is having 4 MBPS of high speed internet facility. The institute has a 24X7 Wi-Fi facility in the college campus for the student and faculty members to avail internet connection at any place in the college, hostel, Guest House and faculty houses.
Ambulance Services: The Saroj Mohan Institute of Technology, Guptipara, West Bengal provides ambulance services to the all bonafied college students during college hours and 24x7 services to the college hostel students for any medical emergency which needs transportation of sick or injured students to and from nearby hospital or nursing home.
Central Library: SMIT has its own central Library. The students of the college can access the library facility for their various academic purposes. The library provides numerous books on various subjects, both reference and text recommended according to the syllabus of MAKAUT University. The Library is fully computerized to meet the student requirements.
 
 Hostel Facility
Saroj Mohan Institute of Technology has on campus hostel facility with all modern amenities. There are FOUR separate buildings for 1st year, 2nd year, 3rd year and 4th year boy’s students and TWO separate buildings for girls’ students.
