Regional Institute of Science & Technology (RIST), an engineering college of par excellence is the 4th venture of ERD Foundation, Guwahati. RIST provides B.Tech Courses approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, Ministry of HRD, Govt of India & is affiliated to North Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong, the first Prestigious Central University in the North Eastern part of India. RIST is the largest Technical campus of North east India spread over an area of 130 acres, aptly named as Techno City.
Central Library: Central Library Facility is divided into four sections namely the Book Bank, the Reference/ Lending Section, e- Library Section and the Reading Room.A well-stocked computerized library with more than 30,000 books and a number of newspapers, journals, e-journals and magazines provides ample opportunities to the students to explore the unending magic of the printing world. A well equipped reading room is also in place which is accessible round-the-clock with photocopying facility.
Conference Hall: RIST has a 250 seater state-of-the-art conference hall equipped with all the latest audio visual facilities for Guest lectures, seminars, Presentation and other academic activities.
Health Care Centre: A full fledged health care centre is in place under the supervision of a full time Nurse and Doctor in the premises of RIST to provide preliminary and First Aid facility. For major treatment, the institute has tied up with renowned hospitals at Guwahati for immediate attention.
Gymnasium: At RIST we believe in all round development of the students as well as teachers by providing opportunities towards their physical and emotional well being. A State of the art Gymnasium equipped with modern exercising gadgets and equipments, backed-up by professional staffs are available. This exemplifies the judicious blend of using both modern and ancient measures towards management of stress as well as preparing a healthy mind in a healthy body to meet present day�s enormous stressful conditions.
Central Computer Facility: Central Computing Facilities for 400 students at any time enabled with a complete network environment and dedicated broadband connectivity.
Workshops and Laboratories: Workshops & Laboratories are built up in a separate set up with latest state of the art equipments and gadgets required to deliver and demonstrate first hand knowledge to the students on live working environment are available.
Hostel Facility
Hostel Facilities Available: Currently RIST have 3 dedicated hostel blocks for Boys and 3 hostels for girls with well furnished and spacious rooms for more than 1000 capacity (for boys) and 800 capacity (for girls) some of them having attached bathrooms, Air-conditioning (in limited rooms), internet connectivity, power backup, hot /cold water with well furnished dining hall. Another hostel blocks are for Girls available within the campus.
