SAL Institute of Technology & Engineering Research a Constituent of SAL, is a Self Financed Institute in Engineering, approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and the Government of Gujarat was started from the academic year 2009-10. The Institutes are affiliated to the Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad.
The institute has well-developed laboratories, comprehensive computer and internet facilities, computerized Library and a large collection of self learning tools such as cassettes and CDs and Journals and magazines.
Library:Library Books are our great friends, guides and philosophers provided we read them. Reading habits have to be inculcated in us so that we can make use of the rich collection of books. The institute Library has a large collection of books on technical, scientific, management and general topics. Many current National and International periodicals are subscribed. Video Cassettes and CDs are available for self learning. The Library remains open for the students beyond office hours. Apart from the students and faculty, professionals from industry also make use of the Library.
Computer Centre: The Computer Centers houses a total no of around 300 Computers with Internet facility to facilitate the students to be in tough with the modern technologies available through the net. Moreover, multi media systems, Inject printers, Scanner and Laser printers are also available. All software required for various engineering application on Windows NT and Novel Netware are available. Internet facility is available for the student round the clock.
Students’ Store: A Students’ Store run on ‘no profit no loss basis’ provides all the necessary materials, stationery, instruments, Xeroxing etc. to the students.
Workshop/Laboratories:
SAL is an Institute that lays a lot of emphasis on hands-on experience and hence has a huge workshop area spread over 1200 sq.mts. Apart from the workshop facilities, every department also has its own set of well equipped laboratories that provide an excellent environment for testing and implementing theoretical learning acquired in the classrooms.
Canteen: The canteen caters healthy and wholesome food and beverages during the college hours.
Sports:
The play grounds for cricket, Volleyball, Football and other games are available. Facility for Indoor games such as Table Tennis, Chess, Carom etc. are available. Annual Sports days is a regular feature.
The Placement Cell of the college facilitates on campus recruitment by giving a common platform to students seeking jobs.
