St. Joseph's College of Engineering and Technology (SJCET)

St. Joseph's College of Engineering and Technology (SJCET) was established in 2002 by the Catholic Diocese of Palai. Discipline, hard work, positive thinking,commitment to excellence and abiding faith in the Almighty are the guiding principles that propel the college to its vision of emerging as a Center of Excellence in technical education in the country.Situated in a serene and picturesque location at the foothills of the High Range Mountains, the campus provides an environment conducive to learning and achieving the academic and professional aspirations of the students.

Library: Library is a member of National Library Network – DELNET. Information from National Program on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) and other Electronic Resources are also available for the user community. Only Library members are allowed to access all materials (such as Books, Journals, Magazines, Digital materials and E-Journals etc.) available in the library collection. The Library reading space can accommodate more than 200 students. Library functions such as Acquisition, Circulation, and Cataloging have been automated using integrated software with Web OPAC.
Multipurpose Building: An auditorium cum multipurpose building with 1250 seating capacity is available in the campus. This facility is being used for conducting various functions and meetings as well as indoor games. Campus recruitment activities are also conducted here.
Central Computing Facilities: SJCET Computer Centre administers and manages the Campus and Residential Computer Network of the college. A state-of-the-art fiber optic backbone which runs to a length of 10 kms provides high speed network connectivity to the Campus. Ten virtual network segments comprising of nearly 750 systems are connected through fiber optic cables and high speed HP manageable switches to the Cyberoam firewall to form the network environment.

Transportation: The college has 24 buses, one van and one car for the use of students and staff.
Book Store: A Book Store functions at the entrance to the Administrative building. Students are expected to buy books and stationery items from the college book store which sells only authorized and genuine items. Special discounts and prizes will be given to students who patronize the college book store. Photocopying facility is available at the College Book Store and in the library on payment basis.
Medicare: SJCET has a Dispensary with permanent nursing staff and Doctor on call.All primary diagnostic equipment, Pharmacy with essential medicines, Ambulance facility and Restroom with beds available. All students of SJCET, after their admission to college are subjected to detailed medical examination at IHM Hospital. This identifies medical problems if any of students for proper attention and also develops medi-card for each of the students.
College Canteen
Health Club: A modern and well equipped gymnasium with latest health equipments is made available to students and staff of SJCET in the campus. This facility is available only to gents.

 Hostel Facility
St.Joseph’s College of Engineering and Technology provides hostel facilities for girls and boys students within the campus itself. The hostel facility is provided to P.G and U.G students of the college. For gents and ladies we have two hostels each can accommodate both P.G and U.G students. Catholic Priests of the diocese and sisters are the wardens of our hostels.
