Bhai Gurdas Institute of Engineering and Technology, committed to the cause of skilled and quality education at par with Global Standards, appeared on the academic front in 2002. Bhai Gurdas Group has the credit of establishing the first private engineering college in Punjab. The Group has successfully been running seventeen institutions in various districts of Punjab. Library: The air conditioned central library is an example of excellence as regard to library services and collection. This fully computerized Wi-Fi library has on its shelves more than 67,000 volumes which include a comprehensive array of Engineering, Management, and Polytechnic in print format. It has membership of DELNET and subscription of Info Tract packages in electronic formats. Library also holds about 500 E-books collection that is available on web. The Library subscribes to about 200 current periodicals on different subjects. It also holds the back volumes of periodicals. Library also provides old question papers for the students.Whole collection and in-house operations are handled by highly qualified library staff. The team of Library staff consists of one Senior Librarian, Two Librarians, four Assistant Librarians, four Library Assistants and four Library Restorers.
Wi-Fi Facilities: The campus of BGGI is Wi-Fi enabled. The students can access the Internet round the clock with High Speed Internet Connectivity of 12 Mbps to enhance their knowledge as well as extract e-Information from any location on the campus, including classrooms and hostels.
Banking: BGGI has a branch of PNB that lends a hand to the students in money transactions, withdrawing and depositing. It also offers educational loans to the students.
Gymnasium: BGGI has a gymnasium stocked with all the modern equipments where the students work out for keeping themselves hale and hearty.
Canteen: BGIET cafeteria is well maintained and fully endowed to meet the culinary needs of the students, It offers refuge to the students weary of their strenuous and hectic academic schedule.
Shopping Complex: A hygienic and spacious canteen is there to meet the culinary needs of students which offers a variety of eatables. To cater to the basic needs of the students the campus has a shopping complex with a Stationery Shop & General Store, Cafeteria, Barber Shop, Laundry Shop & photostat Shop, Juice Shop, Milk Corner, Fax & STD facilities.
Transportation Facilities: Transport facility is provided by the institute to the student & staff. The Institute runs total of 50 buses throughout the Patiala, Samana, Nabha, Ahmadgarh, Malerkotla, Amargarh, Dhuri, Sherpur, Sindhorh, Kathala, Basaur, Barnala, Tapa, Dhanaula, MehalKalan, KattuBalian, Sunam, Chathe (Sunam), Longowal, LehraGaga, Moonak, Patran, Khanauri, Dirba, Bareta, Budhlada, Mawi Kalan (Samana), Bhawanigarh & also to the Sangrur. For this facility the nominal charge is paid by the students.
