Poornaprajna Institute of Management is to provide advanced professional education and skill in Management Studies. Our sanctioned intake for two years MBA programme is 60 students.Apart from five hours of teaching hours meant for covering prescribed syllabus of Mangalore University, two hours of additional classes are engaged everyday from Monday to Friday to impart essential skills like Computer Skill, Communication Skill and a variety of Management Skills such as Group Discussion, Role Play, Experiential Learning, Word Fusion, Product Launch, Art of Creativity, Thematic Apperception and all other relevant and appropriate managerial skills of contemporary nature. Every month a “Two-hour Special Guest Lecture Session” is arranged from eminent personalities from academia and industry. At the end of the second semester, the students have a compulsory Industrial Training of one-month duration. All Students of the Institute study dual specialization papers in their third and fourth semesters in addition to the papers prescribed by the University.
Library: Well-furnished library having a computer, internet facilities and photocopying services is provided to students and the faculty with sufficient seating capacity. The library has a separate reading room for the faculty and students. It has a separate newspaper and magazines sections.Library provides reference service to the alumni as well as research scholars from the community. The library staff help the students and teachers to search online journals, books etc. Faculty and students can use the media centre of the library, can access ebooks, search online library, access OPEC and search books available in the library.
Canteen: The Poornaprajna Institute of Management has a spacious canteen facility in the premises of the institute. The canteen provides hygienic eatables, tea, coffee, juices, soft drinks and lunch at reasonable rates during the working days. Poornaprajna Institute of Management constructed the canteen and now it is shared with other Poornaprajna Institutions. Though the canteen is given on lease, quality of good, prices, hygienic and sanitation standards are regulated and constantly monitored by the Canteen Committee, which consists of Institute Director and Heads of all the Poornaprajna Institute as members.
Auditorium: Auditorium is a place to conduct events and meetings of the institute. It is used to group the students at one place, and conduct effective interaction with the staff, or the guests, who have attended for meetings or workshops. So, it needs to be spacious and convenient to hold these meetings, and we have included these design elements into our auditorium. The dais is big enough for several guests, and it is suitable for projecting the videos or slideshows too. We have provided air condition for the comfort of the occupants.
Hostel Facilities Available: As a business school of repute with 12 years of standing, the Poornaprajna Institute of Management attaches greater importance to the holistic development of the students. Besides providing infrastructure for effective and efficient teaching-learning systems, the college also provides hostel facilities to Ladies Students
Placement Service Available: The Institute has a full-fledged Placement Co-ordination Cell dedicated to advising students on career options, providing up to date employment information, developing job search techniques and co-coordinating "On-Campus Recruitment". The cell ensures smooth recruitment activities at the Institute for worthy placement of the students. The cell also carries out various activities that help in harnessing the skills of students according to the changing requirements of the Corporate World.
