Govt. College for Women, Karnal. After its inception in April 1998, this college has been able to reserve for itself, in a short span of time, a place in the list of 25 Excellent Colleges of the State. After starting with only Arts & Commerce streams, it made rapid progress and today, it offers B.Sc. in Non Medical & Computer Science, BCA, BBA & M.Com, in addition to M.A. (Hindi) & M.A. (Music). The objective of the college is to make available rich academic environment to the students so that they, after acquiring their degrees, become aware and committed citizens, rich in social and moral values . The goal of education is not bookish knowledge but the inculcation of high human values and the acquisition of certain abilities to meet the challenges of life. The college has a placement cell which counsels and facilitates students, specially the final year students to get placement in companies National and Multinational. The cell invites companies for campus placements and also takes students to job melas.
