Lachoo Memorial College of Science & Technology, Jodhpur was established by Shri Mohanlal Sukhadia, the then Chief Minister, Rajasthan in 1966 and Dr V K R V Rao, the then Minister for Education, India inaugurated this new building in 1969. The College has unique distinction of being first & only college in the western Rajasthan which has been awarded 'A' grade by NAAC & selected as ''College with potential for Excellence" by UGC. The College is included in the UGC act and affiliated to Jai Narain Vyas Univesrity, Jodhpur, Rajasthan Technical University, Kota and Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur for different courses.
Central Library: The college has a very rich library exclusively housed in a spacious area. It is computerized using SOUL, the library management software by Inflibnet, UGC. The library has more than 25,000 books on various science and technology subjects including humanities and culture. Magzines, journals on special subjects and current affairs are regular features. Computers for accessing digital media add charm to the library. The book bank section in the library is established to help the needy students. The library is equipped with Xerox Machine for the benefit of teachers and students.
Auditorium: The campus has an air conditioned auditorium with a seating capacity of 235 with closed circuit T.V. facility for the clear vision of audience. It is also equipped with projector and amplifier for the smooth conduction of seminar, conferences and various meetings.
