KITM was established in the year 2007 by Shanti Devi Educational Trust (SDET). The achievements in the short span of Six years show the determination of the management and teachers to attain the goal. This is just the beginning and the aspiration is to make this a number one institute with a focus on higher education is technology and management and the process is underway. Taking inspiration from her esteemed vision of academically and morally strong children, we at Kurukshetra Institute of Technology and Management (KITM) which is an endeavour of SDET, devote ourselves to the relentless pursuit of excellence in the field of education. Our vision is to develop this into a superior institute responsible for grooming future leaders for the country.
Spread over 20 acres of land, KITM is a unique blend of tradition and modernity. Modern buildings are housed in a clean, green and serene campus situated near holy cities Kurukshetra and Jyotisar. The institute is located on Pehowa road at Bhor Saidan, Kurukshetra, 9km from Kurukshetra University. It is well connected by rail and bus from all parts of the country. The institute is easily accessible through the public transport system. In addition institute’s own fleet of new comfortable buses run throughout the city and surrounding areas. The campus is surrounded by lush green fields all around. The institute offers a unique workplace for students with 24 hours uninterrupted power supply, Wi-Fi and full security.
Hostel Facility
KITM provides hostel facility to its students. Students from distant places do not have to run here and there for accommodation. They can live in comfortable rooms and enjoy all the facilities provided in the hostel. Both girls’ and boys’ hostels are in the Institute campus only, thus saving valuable time of students otherwise spent on travelling. Full security is ensured and strict discipline is maintained. The boys’ hostel has the capacity to accommodate 300 boys and girls’ hostel has 150 girls. All rooms are spacious and well ventilated. Comfortable furniture and enough storage space are provided in each room. There is 24 hour water and power supply.
KITM has a well organized Training & Placement cell headed by an exclusively dedicated and experienced former member of the top management team of a large nationalized bank having worked across the country and widely traveled abroad with very cordial relationship in the corporate world to monitor employment potentials and manage campus interviews for the students.
