Mata Gujri Mahila Mahavidyalaya (Autonomous) having student strength of 5985 was established by Guru Gobind Singh Educational Society in the year 1994, affiliated to Rani Durgawati Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur and recognized by UGC under clauses 2f &12B since 1998. The college was first assessed by National Assessment and Accreditation Council, Banglore in 2004 and subsequently in 2011, earning the grade ‘A’ in both the cycles. College has recently undergone 3rd cycle of assessment by NAAC and has been graded A+ with CGPA 3.51/4.Over the years, the college has incorporated the quality assurance practices as per NAAC quality indicators and perseveringly evolved into an institution known for ‘Women Empowerment’ in letter and spirit. Based on the NAAC recommendations, during the previous assessment and its own core strengths, the college has earned the Autonomous Status from UGC w.e.f. 1st April, 2012.
Library: Few things can equal the lasting pleasure of a good book carefully read, and few things can have greater influences in moulding character, and through character even destiny itself.MGMM’s well-equipped and efficiently maintained Library with a computerized user-friendly library usage system, functions as an invaluable aid to every aspiring scholar. The library presently boasts of impressive stock of books. New books are added to the library through the course of each academic year. It also subscribes to a range of national and international journals, making it resourceful for students of MGMM, especially online, through DELNET.The general library with its open-rack system, spacious reading room and reference section provides an atmosphere conducive to academic work. The Library staff is always available to assist students in finding material needed for their course work and other related pursuits.
Sports: Healthy body is a prerequisite for a healthy mind. So we provide facilities for athletic events, indoor and outdoor games, and other recreational activities. These sports activities keep our students healthy and in good spirits and help them grow strong and fit through the college years, that is, we create a balanced atmosphere of academic, cultural and sports activities for the overall personality development of the students.

We provide a safe environment for our girls to pursue their academic careers.Life in a hostel is about stepping into the space of responsible citizenship. The balance between rights and duties is carefully calibrated. It is also about being a caring community that celebrates diversity across regional, linguistic, class, religious and ideological differences and embraces an identity of womanhood that is confident, poised and ready to grapple with the challenges and opportunities that await them in this century. The college hostel provides a home away from home for a considerable number of outstation students.

Placement Service Available: The Training & Placement Cell in the college plays a pivotal role in counseling and guiding the students for their successful careers. Placement cell is a crucial interface between the stages of completion of academic program of the students and their entry into suitable employment. We sincerely believe in comprehensively training the students to face the corporate world and have a successful professional career. Professional training is provided to the students to enhance their communication skills & technical skills and to make them work as productive workforce. The Pre-recruitment training is conducted by professional trainers. The training sessions are scheduled from the beginning of each academic session.
