Established in 1996 through a collaboration between the Government of India and the State Government of Kerala, the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) is the fifth IIM to be established in India. Spread over about 112.5 acres of land, IIM Kozhikode, is situated on two hillocks in the Kunnamangalam Area of ancient city of Calicut in Kerala. Boasting of one of the most picturesque and oxy-rich campuses in the country, IIM Kozhikode is devoted to nurturing future business leaders in teaching, learning, consulting, research, and innovation.

The Institute has 20 well-designed hostels capable of accommodating about 1400 students. The classrooms, computer center, students canteen and all other facilities are within walking distance of the hostel. All the hostel rooms have been provided with a LAN and WIFI connection to cater to the computing needs of the students. The students are provided rooms on a single or sharing basis.
