Mahima Mahavidyalaya

Mahima Mahavidyalaya, Joranda was the surging need of the rural based economically poor students and parents in the District of Dhenkanal aspiring for Higher Education. The Koupindhari Mahima Samaj, then Srimat Jatia Baba at its head patronised this College which was established on 01.08.1978 at Joranda, famous in and abroad as the cradle of sacred Mahima Dharma. The College got Govt. recognition and Utkal University affiliation in 1979-80. The College was elevated to a Degree College in the academic session 1986-87 being affiliated to the Utkal University,Odisha.The College was covered under Grant-in-Aid fold of the Govt. in the year 1984.Now the college is recognised as a full-fledged Degree College with +3 Arts, Science and Commerce Streams having honours classes.It is also accredited with Grade-B(2nd cycle) by the NAAC in the academic year 2016-17.

Library: The Jatia Baba Library Of Mahima Mahavidyalaya, Joranda contains volumes arranged into different sections. The Members of the staff, the students of the college may use the Library.The library remains open during the working hours of the college. The library remains closed on Sundays and authorized holidays during annual stock verification. The library opens at 10:am, Issue and return start at 11 am and closing time for return of books is 12 noon and closing time for issue of books is 2 pm.
