Maharaja Manindra Chandra College at 20, Ramkanto Bose Street, Kolkata-700003. It had been possible due to the drive and initiative of some spirit of Dr. Panchanan Neogi I.E.S (Retd.), a well-known educationist of the time and the benevolence of Maharaja Sris Chandra Nandi of Cossimbazar.The genesis of the college may be traced to a public meeting held on December 15, 1940, at 44/A, New Shyambazar Street. A resolution was adopted in that meeting to the effect that an Arts, Science and commerce college be opened in memory of the illustrious Maharaja Manindra Chandra Nandi of Cossimbazar at 20, Ramakanto Bose Street, Kolkata. His son Hon’ble Maharaja Sris Chandra Nandi kindly consented to hand over the premises to the proposed Governing Body of the College. The College, in course of time, under the able stewardship of its illustrious Principals, assumed the status of one of the premier colleges of Kolkata and has been accredited by NAAC in the year 2011 with grade ‘B’. The College has celebrating its Platinum Jubilee in the Session 2015-16.
Central Library: The library offers Open access facility to its students for the Reading and Reference Section. Teachers enjoy Open access to the entire collection of the library.The library is fully WIFI enabled and students and teachers can utilise WIFI facility with suitable password.The central library has good collection of career guidance books which will helps to the job seeking students. Central library also display the job news to alert our students.
Canteen: The college houses two separate canteen in the 2nd floor of the college for the students, faculty members and staff, serves healthy food and meals at subsidized rates. It has been upgraded to maintain better hygienic standards and is well equipped to cope up with the mid-beak rush, efficiently with additional space assigned recently.
Games and Sports: Students are encouraged to take part in outdoor games. Inter-Class tournaments in Football/Cricket, and even indoor games are participates in Inter-College Sports Meets and Competitions. The Annual Athletic Meet is held successfully with the active participation of students, teaching and non-teaching staff of the college. Concession and other facilities are granted to sportsmen.
Wifi Facilities: We have created free Wi-Fi zone at our college campus and library for the benefit of the students . Students can avail this facility for academic purpose.
