The Department of Hindi is the one and only prime institution of this region for learning and teaching of Hindi. In the field of research also, this is the only institution in the state. During 1961 this department was established by Prof. Hardev Bahari, a Legend & Renowned Scholar of Linguistics. The department from the very first day is seriously and sincerely engaged in making Hindi popular. Department is teaching hindi according to the UGC syllabi and guidelines. It is preparing students for NET/SET/JRF also.
Facility of Books for Students do exists at the Main University Library as well as at Book Bank.
Chairperson and other teachers of the Department of Hindi do guide the students regarding suitable placement.
