Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) is the statutory university established by the Govt. of Gujarat National Law University Act, 2003. The University is recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and University Grants Commission (UGC) (2f & 12b). The University is also member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and the University is functioning as nodal agency to uplift the legal education in the State of Gujarat.
Library : The GNLU library aims to become a repository of knowledge and research. It aims to employ efforts to establish an excellent library to act as a legal hub for anyone and everyone interested in legal research and reference. It also aims to support the teaching, learning and research needs of GNLU scholars, students and faculty by providing a rich collection of the world’s legal literature.
Science & Technology Laboratories: Since GNLU offers B.Sc., LL.B. (Hons.), a five year integrated undergraduate programme in law, the students study a range of science and technology courses in Life Sciences and Physical Sciences. The science laboratories are pillars for any institute in a science degree course and so GNLU has developed laboratories. They evolve, responding to the changing needs of science instruction in each semester. The laboratory has plans to develop basic infrastructural facilities to introduce the students to frontier areas of biotechnology. GNLU has a working relationship with the Directorate of Forensic Sciences, Gujarat, so that students are benefited from interactions with the scientists of the Institute.
Hostel Facility
The University provides separate Halls of Residence for boys and girls. Students are required to follow certain rules and regulations and maintain proper discipline within the hostels. There is a general code of conduct that every student of GNLU is expected to adhere to both within and outside the campus. Any instance of unseemly behaviour or conduct that is likely to tarnish the image or reputation of the University would be regarded as a breach of discipline. There is a Mess-Canteen on campus which provides breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. A Student Mess Committee, under the supervision of a faculty advisor, is expected to look after the choice and quality of daily menu that is served in the canteen and the mess. Requests for special dishes are also entertained.

GNLU provides many Scholarship Scheme such as Central Sector Scholarship of Top Class Education for SC Students, Narotam Sekhsaria Scholarship for Higher Studies for PG students, Ishan Uday" Special Scholarship Scheme for North Eastern Region etc
