Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology (NMIT)

Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology (NMIT) is an Autonomous Institution affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), with the concurrence of VTU / Govt. of Karnataka / UGC and Accredited by AICTE, Govt. of India. NMIT is the youngest Engineering College to be conferred the prestigious Autonomous status by VTU / State of Karnataka/UGC. NMIT is the only unaided private engineering college in Karnataka state selected by Govt. of India for world bank funding under TEQIP (Technical Education Quality Improvement Program)

Canteen: Well equipped canteen serving multi cuisine. It caters to the need of the staff, students and members of the hostels. A coffee shop is open till late evenings. Keeping in mind the palate of the north Indian students with us we have introduced chat corner in the campus.
Medical centre: There is an on-campus Medical Centre and an MOU has been signed with a nearby hospital for providing medical facilities for students.
Transport: The college has a fleet of 22 buses which are regularly operated for providing transport facilities to all staff and students from different corners of Bangalore to the college and back.
 
 Hostel Facility
The College has modern hostel facilities in the campus for both boys and girls with inhouse mess facility providing hygienic and nutritious diet. Hostels have solar systems for providing hot water apart from the modern amenities like recreation facilities, library, TV room, cafeteria and stationary cell.
