Manyawar Kansiram Engineering College of Information Technology (MKECIT), Azamgarh ,a constituent College of Gautam Buddh Technical University, Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) was established by Government of Uttar Pradesh wide letter no 394/solah-1-2007-13(37)/2007. The college has started offering B.Tech. programme in three disciplines - Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering (with intake of 60 seats in each) from the session 2010-11. The college is presently being run in the campus of Madan Mohan Malaviya Engineering College, Gorakhpur and is likely to shift soon to its actual location at Azamgarh where construction of building is on full swing. Principal, M.M.M. Engg. College, Gorakhpur has been given additional charge of MKECIT, Azamgarh.
