The Institute has emerged as a philanthropic venture of an internationally renowned industrial group, Sri Shanmugavel Mills. The Industrial conglomerate has its own unique quality policies which made their business domain excel whether it is yarn or spinning or weaving or textiles or energy or engineering. The Managing Trustees Sri. P. S. Veluswamy in his own words mentions “It would be rather better to enter into any venture with outstanding quality or else, call it off.”
SSMIET is endowed with a sprawling and huge computer center, broadband and high connective in the campus. A well equipped library with national, international and e-journals is a treasure of information and knowledge resource in order to enhance the level of learning process. Ergonomically designed and well fit audio and visual equipments in the class room a new experience to students for learning.
Hostel Facility
The SSMIET offers good hostel facilities at very nominal charges for both boys and girls with hygienic vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals. The hostel is a part of campus with a view to make the students avail all the facilities beyond the working hours and enrich themselves with academic pursuits.
