The Institute of Fashion Technology Kerala (IFTK) is established by the Government of Kerala in technical collaboration with the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. IFTK has been set up under the aegis of Centre for Continuing Education Kerala (CCEK), with the intention of developing professionals for taking up leadership positions in fashion business in the emerging global scenario.
The classrooms are equipped with audio-visual equipment like LCD, Slide Projector,Television, etc. The Institute invests in the latest equipment to acquaint students with the latest manufacturing technology. The laboratories are equipped with requisite machinery for garment construction, pattern making, etc.
Resource Centre: The print collections include books and periodicals pertaining to fashion studies and related disciplines. Resource centre subscribes to leading international forecast services and fashion and textile journals. The audio visual materials in CDs, DVDs, slides and videos are primarily used as teaching aids. The materials pertain to history of costumes, history of art, fashion illustrations etc., lessons on garment manufacturing and design collections. The Resource Centre also has collection of Fashion Accessories Finding Collection containing all the materials required to complete a garment.
Hostel Facility
IFTK intends to provide residential accommodation for girls & boys.
