The Govt. College Bomdila, established in 198 is a co-educational college affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University (Rono Hills, Itanagar). The college offers bachelor degree programmes in social sciences and humanities. The college has been duly recognized by the UGC under 2F in 1994 and 12B in 2002 and is accredited by N.A.A.C. with B grade. Govt. College Bomdila is among the 31 institutes providing higher education in the state of Arunachal Pradesh.
The institute has been functioning in two blocks, administrative and academic within area of 1922 m2 adjacent to the buildings of Government Higher Secondary School Bomdila. It also comprises of 9373 m2 of space in the residential campus boosting staff quarters and a boy’s hostel. The college being in the head-quarters of the West Kameng district has the advantage of its location to use the Government stadium and its sports complex for the benefit of students. The college administration is actively looking forward for developing a larger campus nearby, as soon as the land becomes available.
