Adarsh College, Rajdhanwar is situated at Dhanwar Suriya Road in Giridih district. This college was established in the year 1973 by the local people and founder Shree Punit Roy (Ex. M.L.A.) of Dhanwar Block and its surrounding area. This area was an educationally backward one where most populated person were known as Harijan ,Adiwasi, Backward Cast and Minority. In the begging this college was functioning in campus of S S High School, Dhanwar (Giridih) now this college emerged as one of strong pillar of higher education for girls and boys on the basis of quality education. This college is 65 Kms. away from the distrist head quarters. The motto of this institution is not only to provide quality education but also to impart technical knowledge to students.
Shree Nakul Choudhary was the founder Principal of this College. In the year 1981 affiliation was granted up to Degree level in Arts by the Ranchi University for the subjects:- Hindi, Sanskrit, Political Science, History, Economics, English, Urdu, Philosophy, Geography etc.
Adarsh College, Rajdhanwar has a Science Laboratory that needs to be enriched with equipments from time to time and have been organizing NSS cams, Symposia and seminars cultural programmes and also games and sports events.
