Anchal College Padampur, a premier educational institutions of Odisha was established in the year 1965. Situated in the revenue district of Bargarh at 20 degree 58 min North latitude and 83 degree 00 min East longitude, Padampur is bounded by Nawapara district on West, state of Chhatisgarh on North-east, Bolangir district on South and the Gandhamardan hill range of the Ramayan epic fame on South-west. The Gandhamardan has a tropical dry deciduous forest enriched with rare medicinal herbs, invaluable forest products providing subsistence to tribal inhabitants of this region. The famous Nrusinghnath temple situated at its foothill, 30 Kms away from the college, attracts thousands of devotees and tourists every year.

Library : Library has a large collection of books and other reading materials.The library is situated in a separate building in the area of 198.195 Sq. Mts. It includes book stock area, circulation are, reading room and lavatory.
Computer Laboratory: The College has separate computer Laboratory for the use of students and staff members as and when required. It has 16 No of (P4, Core i3)Computers. Besides college has a Network Resource Centre and SAMS (Students a €™ Academic Management System) laboratory.
Language Laboratory: The College has a well-equipped language lab for developing communication skill in English among the students. There are 8 computers with a server functioning in the lab. We propose to submit proposal to introduce Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma courses in functional English from the next session.
Remedial Coaching Classes: A Remedial coaching centre for students of ST/SC/OBC/Minority/ Non-creamy layer of the society, funded by U.G.C. has been running in the college for improvement of the academically weaker students. The centre has library of its own which lends books and study materials to these students.

Hostel Facility
At present the college has two Boys Hostels (1 for General Students and 1 for ST/SC Students) and one Womens Hostel.
