Getting blessings from Jan Nayak Karpoori Thakur the proposal to establish this college was initiated in the year 1982. But this did not get momentum at that time. Jan Nayak Karpoori Thakur ceaselessly worked forth upliftment of down trodden and unprivileged classes. He was in favour of establishing academic institutions in order to give opportunities to young man and women of those classes.
