Though in the beginning, it was affiliated with the University of Calcutta, at present the College is under the Jurisdiction of the Kalyani University w.e.f the year 2000-01 like all other Degree Colleges in the district of Murshidabad and Nadia.

	Eligibility 45% marks in aggregate and 55% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination. 50% marks in aggregate and 45% matks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying enam. 55% marks in aggregate when the candidate has not studied the subject or any relayed subject in his/her previous qualifying examination provided all other clauses are satisfied. 22% seats shall be reserved for candidates belonging to SC, 6% for ST and a relazsation of qualifying marks to the extent of 25% from the marks secured by the last candidate admittede in general category would be permitted 3% for physically disabled candidates.
