It is heard from the locals and the government documents that the land where the college is actually set up was of Tehatta High School. Later, listening to the earnest plea of the residents of Tehatta, the Government of West Bengal decided to establish the college on this piece of land (Memo No. 6418-GE(M)/2L-296/13 Dated 06/12/2013). A two storied building has already been constructed on this 3.10 acres land by spending 5.29 crores. r. The college received its affiliation from Kalyani University on 21st May, 2015. The college has offering honours and general courses in Bengali, English, History, Political Science and Philosophy.
