Christian College, Kattakada was established in 1965. The college is managed by the society for Higher Education of the SIUC community of the Church of South India registered under the Travancore-Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act XII of 1955 (S.No. 143 of 1977) Affiliated to the University of Kerala and recognised by the University Grants Commission, the college is located in a sprawling area of rustic land in the PoovachalPanchayat area under Kattakada Taluk, 20km east of Thiruvananthapuram city, Kerala State, South India.

It aims at providing the students information about useful courses and promising careers. It also intends to help them choose the right or the right career. Seminars were conducted by the cell helps the students to aware about different opportunities. A notice pin-up board exhibited in the library by the cells display about job opportunities and other news related to placement of the students.
