S.M.College, Bhagalpur, a foremost institution of fame and repute. It holds a prominent position in the field of higher education for women in Bihar. The sapling which was planted in the premises of local Mokshada Girls School, Bhagalpur by Dr. Sharda Vedalankar on 15th of August, 1949, has now blossomed into a premier Women’s College of T. M. Bhagalpur University, Bhagalpur and has celebrated its golden jubilee in 1999.In 2004 the College has been Accredited by NAAC team and graded as B+. It has already made a niche in women’s education and is forging ahead from multiple successes.
Library: The library of the College has a rich collection of about 70,000 books, journal and periodicals. An Advisory Committee headed by the Principal as the Chairperson looks after the proper functioning of the library.
Computer Lab: The College has a rich computer section overall containing sixty computer sets. We are thankful for the UGC & Govt. of bihar which have contributed largely for development of computer skills in this college. Recently we have purchased some new sets and developed computer lab in BBA and B.Ed department.
Banking: The Punjab National Bank has a Branch in the college campus to facilitate banking services to the students, teachers and staff of the college. There is an ATM facility as well.
