National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT)

NIFT Patna was started in June, 2008, from its transit campus situated in the prestigious Udyog Bhavan, Gandhi Maidan, Patna and from July 2014 it has start functioning from its own permanent campus at Mithapur Farms, Patna.The institute boasts of a very close contact with the intellectual art and design sect of the society all over the country. Due to the advantage of being one of the pioneer institutions coming in the state, the institute is now very well networked to satisfy the academic requirements of NIFT at Patna. The institute portrays itself as a leader in fashion education in the state. NIFT Patna has committed itself in exploring growth paradigms and to act like a catalyst in formulating the structural roadmap for the apparel and allied industry. NIFT Patna is looking forward to contribute towards upliftment of the craftsmen through workshops and design intervention.

Design Studios: The design studios on campus offer ample opportunity to students to experiment and innovate, while the laboratories provide hi-technology work areas covering real-time aspects of the industry. These studios are in the process of being set up.
High Quality Lecture Rooms: Well-equipped classrooms use advanced teaching methodology, designed for highly interactive sessions.
IT Savvy Education: The success of fashion professionals rests on their ability to integrate Fashion and Information Technology in a meaningful way. IT support is a critical feature at all NIFT centres and the computer labs are equipped with state-of-the-art hardware and software.The Video Conferencing facility is also available.
Resource Centre: The National Resource Centre at New Delhi and the Resource Centre at each NIFT centre are pillars of information and knowledge management. Each Resource Centre has an integrated collection of print, visual and creative material resources: the only systematically documented source of information available in India for study of international and contemporary Indian fashion. The Resource Centres also provide information services to the design community, industry practitioners and entrepreneurs.
Transportation Bus is available 24 X 7 to provide the transportation facility to the students for field trips, industry visits, etc. the bus facility is also provided.
Internet :NIFT-Patna is connected with National Knowledge Network(NKN). Internet facility is provided in the resource center, Campus & Hostel for the students.
 
 Hostel Facility
There is a provision for Girls’ Hostel within the campus. Girl Hostel situated at NIFT Campus, Mithapur, Near Jakkanpur Police Station, Bus Stand Road, Patna-800 001.The NIFT Patna hostel provides semi-furnished rooms including table, chair, inbuilt shelves, bed, mattress, etc.The hostel timings are maintained in order to maintain security and decorum. Medical facilities in terms of bi-weekly doctor’s consultation will be available at the NIFT Patna hostel.
