Devchand College

Devchand College is a premier and renowned grant-in-aid institution affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur in the State of Maharashtra. Padmabhushan Shriman Seth Devchandji Shah established the college in 1960 with the sole objective of transforming lives of thousands of sons and daughters of poor farmers, landless laborers, tobacco and beedi workers in and around forty villages surrounding the town of Nipani through the potent tool of quality higher education. Since its inception, Devchand College has earned fame and name as an institution with quality par excellence. The college is run by an educational trust, Janata Shikshan Mandal, which has attained Jain minority status in the year 2011.

Library: The library of our college is one of the richest and the oldest among the libraries under the jurisdiction of Shivaji University. It contains 49,564 books and references books in senior college section.The college library is rich with reference books, periodicals and research journals. The college library is well equipped to facilitate and support research with reference books, national and international journals, books on research methodology, magazines, e-resources facilities by providing internet, INFLIBNET facility, reprography facility etc
The college has well-equipped gymnasium hall of 42 Sq. Mtrs. The players are instructed for fitness, diet and practice. Due to the special attention offered by the trained coaches the players take efforts and interest in the practice session.
The well-equipped language laboratory equip students with basic skills in spoken english.
 
 Hostel Facility
There is a hostel for the boys and a newly built hostel for the girls with the basic provisions such as beds, tables, chairs, fans, cupboards, water purifier, hot water facility, toilet facility electricity etc.
