Shri Subhashrao P. Thakare, who was the Minister of State and a strong follower of late Yashwantrao Chavan, former deputy Prime-Minister of India has established Shri Motiramji Thakare Shikshan Prasarak Mandal Kasola, on 31st December 1983, with the objective of bringing about intellectual awakening and all round development of society through education and inspiring from late Shri Yashwantrao Chavan.
Well-Equipped Laboratories & Computerized Library: Policy of the institute regarding the effective teaching and learning is to strengthen the courses offered by designing well-equipped laboratories and computerized library. The facilities of C-Cataloguing/OPAC, the research journals and science magazines are provided in the library. The infrastructural enhancement is liberally funded on need base and on the availability of the funds.
The college conducts various competitive examinations through Yashada- A Training and Placement cell of the college. Students are guided for recruitment in police department through sports quota. Students are guided for Campus interviews arranged by other colleges in the University.
