Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Regional Campus Ettumanoor, named after the illustrious sage and philosopher Sree Sankaracharya is situated at Ettumanoor, the well-known cultural Campus of Kottayam District. It is located on the southern side of the Mariamman Kovil Road, in front of the famous Mahadeva Temple, Ettumanoor. This Campus came into existence in 1994. The formal inauguration of the Campus was conducted at a grand function organized in the campus on 1st November 1994. From 1994 onwards the Campus is functioning in an old two storied building owned by the University itself. This Campus owns a property of 28 cents in the campus where it functions currently and 40 cents at Peroor, near Ettumanoor. The Campus is situated 67 kilometres away from the Headquarters of the University, Kalady. From 2003 onwards Credit and Semester system was introduced by the University. Mode of admission to these courses is through a common Entrance Test conducted by the university. At present, there are three P.G. courses offered in the Campus, M.A. Sanskrit Sahitya, M.A. Hindi and M.A. Malayalam. These courses are under the Credit and Semester system.
