The G.C.W.Rohtak is one of the oldest and premier institutes of Haryana. It came into existence in the year 1959. Initially it was a Govt. co-educational institution which was later converted to a Govt. Women College, the first in Haryana. with a vision to make it a centre of excellence to fulfil the educational needs of the women of the area. Only those students are eligible to take admission in M.A. (Music Vocal) 1st year. who have taken Music as one of the subjects in B.A. General category students are required to have at least 50% marks in aggregate and 45% in the concerned subject in B.A. and S.C. / ST students should have obtained at least 45% marks.
