The Ayurveda College and Hospital in Amritapuri Campus was established in 2004. The college and hospital are situated on 25 acres of land near the backwaters along the coast of Kerala, three kilometers west from the national highway near Karunagappally. Amrita School of Ayurveda is a constituent unit of the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, a university established under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956. The university is accredited with “A” grade by National Assessment and Accreditation council (NAAC).
Amrita School of Ayurveda has an excellent Library, perhaps the best among all Ayurveda College Libraries in India. The library has been carefully planned to have more space and natural lighting for the comfort of the users. It has the capacity to accommodate 300 students at a time.
