The Interdisciplinary School of Health Sciences offers post graduate courses in public health. Established through funding from the University Grants Commission in 1989, the School is the first institution in the country to offer a Master of Public Health programme supported by the UGC. In addition to the MPH, the School offers a MSc in Health Sciences and two PhD courses (PhD Public Health and Phd Health Sciences)

Laboratories for conducting biochemistry, microbiology, immunology and molecular biology studies; Nutrition laboratory
Students graduating from this School are well placed in rewarding careers in a variety of health organizations in India and abroad. These include international agencies such as the World Health Organization, UNICEF, NITI Ayog, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and in Maharashtra state health services, Maharashtra’s Nutrition Mission, International development agencies. Several students are working as research/PhD fellows at national research institutes such as International Institute of Population Studies, National Institute of Virology, National AIDS Research Institute, and at University departments in India and in the US and Europe. Students are also placed in leadership positions in well known health NGOs. Some students are in pharma research companies.
