The Central University of Karnataka (CUK) was established at Gulbarga, Karnataka by the Government of India along with other fifteen other 16 new Central Universities during the UGC XI Plan Period to address to the concerns of ‘equity and access’ and to increase the access to quality higher education.
The School of Social and Behavioural Sciences is distinguished by excellence and innovation at the forefront of teaching, research, and extension services addressing the existing challenges of our societies .This School presently comprises the departments of Psychology, History, and Social Work and offers integrated five-year Master’s degree, two year Master’s degree, Diploma, and Doctoral programmes in the above-mentioned disciplines. This school provides an outstanding student experience by equipping students with knowledge, skills and the ability to participate globally.

B.Sc. Integrated Psychology | Diploma in Educational Counselling | M.Sc. Psychology | Ph.D. Psychology

1 .	B.Sc. Integrated Psychology
	Eligibility Students aged up to 18 years and who have completed Class 12 / intermediate education from a recognised Indian or foreign university/ board or equivalent (foreign recognition to be as per AIU list) with a minimum of 50 per cent in aggregate may apply for this course.
	Duration 3 years for B.Sc and 5 years for M.Sc

2 .	Diploma in Educational Counselling
	Eligibility A graduate or a post-graduate from a recognised university, having studied any one of the following allied or elective or optional subjects: Psychology, Psychological counselling, Social Work, education or Rehabilitation Sciences with 50 per cent marks in aggregate (including languages) may apply
	Duration 1 semester

3 .	M.Sc. Psychology
	Eligibility Students aged between 20-24 years, who have completed their undergraduation from a recognised Indian or foreign university (foreign recognition to be as per AIU list) in any discipline and have secured a minimum of 50 per cent aggregate may apply for this course.
	Duration 2 years
	Admission Procedure University Entrance

4 .	Ph.D. Psychology
	Eligibility M.Phil. or Masters' degree of the University or a degree recognized by the University for this purpose or its equivalent in the relevant or allied subject with at least 55% marks and who have scored a minimum of 40% marks in the entrance test to be conducted by the University.
	Duration 3-5 years
