College of Nursing, AIIMS, Rishikesh started in academic session of 2013 as a Department of Nursing of AIIMS, Rishikesh with joining of founder Principal Dr. Suresh Kumar Sharma on 12th March, 2013. The first batch of 60 B.Sc. (Hons) Nursing students was admitted in month of July, 2013 through All India entrance test, which was conducted by AIIMS, New Delhi and Academic activities for this begin on 16th August, 2013. The formal welcome ceremony of first batch was held on 17th September, 2013 and Sh. Vijay Bahuguna, then Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttarakhand was the Chief Guest of this event.
