Chalapathi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences

Realizing the increasing importance of Pharmacy as a profession Sri.Y.V.Anjaneyulu, Chairman of Chalapathi Educational Society with his futuristic vision established Chalapathi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (CIPS) at Lam in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. It is located at about 8 K.M. from Guntur Town towards Amaravathi.

Animal House: Animal procurement, housing, feeding, quarantine, stabilization and separation, breeding of mice, rats, rabbits, hamsters and guinea pigs are carried out lawfully as per the committee for the purpose of control and supervision of experiments on animals (CPCSEA).
Canteen : A well-furnished and spacious Canteen functions in the campus to cater to the needs of the students and faculty.
Drug Museum: The college has a well-established and maintained drug museum at two different places. One museum is composed of live human organs, marketed drug formulations and other museum consists of different varieties of plants and animal specimens and crude drugs.
Well equipped Labs
Seminar Hall is a venue for conferences, Power point Presentations and constant discussions. It is air conditioned and accommodates around 250 persons at a stretch. It is equipped with the latest technological equipment’s and devices.
The college has all modern learning facilities like LCD Projectors, OHP etc. Audio visual aids are included in each class room/department to make the teaching effective. Learning is undoubtedly more effective through visual interactive materials.
Central Instrumentation Lab was equipped with high value sophisticated instruments for utilization of qualitative and quantitative analysis of various drugs and pharmaceuticals.
Library: Well Furnished Library with Reference books, thesis, assignments, Journals and CD's will not be lent out of the library.
Medical Garden: CIPS maintains a medicinal plant garden with 540 plants of 62 no. of varieties. All the plants in the garden contains chemical constituents of high therapeutic value.
Computer Network:All the Departments in the college are provided with Computers with internet connection.
Intercom Facility:Communication is made quick and easy with the inter-departmental connectivity via intercom.
Public Telephone Facility: Since mobile phones are banned in the campus premises there is a public telephone arranged in the college, for the students in case of emergency.
Drinking water facility: Drinking mineral water dispensers are installed in each floor of the campus.
Spacious Parking Facility: Parking facility for the vehicles of both students and staff are made available in the campus.
Board Room: College has Board room where the important meetings are conducted.
ATM: An ATM was arranged in the college for students and staff for money transactions.
CC Cameras: The college was under 24 hour surveillance of CC cameras.
College has well maintained Pharmacy store which contains medicines in the form of tablets, capsules, syrups mostly for all common health problems. Students and faculty utilize medicines from the pharmacy store in case of their sudden illness.
 
 Hostel Facility
CIPS has a separate hostel for boys and girls. The hostel has a capacity of accommodating over 150students. It provides all the intellectual, moral and spiritual growth of the students. The students have well furnished rooms to stay, with ample ventilations, electric lightsand fans. On the corridors there will be light during the whole night so that the students can study at any time. They have a well-furnished dining hall where food is served four times a day. A Warden is available throughout day and night.
