Peoples Co-operative Arts and Science College (PCASC)

Peoples Co-operative Arts &Science College (PCASC), Munnad, a self-financing college affiliated to the Kannur University, was founded by the Kasaragod Co-operative Educational Society in 2005, with the primary objective of imparting better and proper education to students from the remote places in the district. The college is an off-shoot of the EMS Aksharagramam, a comprehensive educational village, designed and managed by the Kasaragod Co-operative Educational Society. It started functioning with the courses; B.Com Computer Application, B. Sc Computer Science and BBM in the academic year 2005. It has been provided with BA- TTM, BA Malayalam, M. Sc Computer Science and M.Com in 2008 and BA Functional English & BA Economics in 2009, BBA in 2012, B.Com Co-operation, MTA in 2013 and MA Economics in 2014. The college now offers nine Under Graduate and four Post Graduate Courses.

Auditorium:The auditorium and seminar hall is fully equipped with radio visual systems. It is frequently used for presentations, seminars, fests, events of the college. Our auditorium has a seating capacity of 200 people.
Library:The library being the knowledge centre is one of the most important academic facilities provided to the students, faculties, and non teaching staffs. The library includes 8500 books in the field of Commerce, Business, Computer Science, Economics, Language, Literature etc and has an impressive collection of leading News Papers, journals and periodicals.
Computer Lab:Computer lab is arranged in such a way that all students in a class can use it at a time. Well equipped 2 rooms are available to the students and staffs from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm in all working days. The institution having 60 PC with broadband connectivity.
Stationary Store:A stationary shop is opened in the college campus, run by KCES, from where students can purchase all stationary items for their day to day requirement with affordable price. Almost all items required by the students and staff are available in the co-operative store
Canteen:There is a canteen functioning in the college campus run by KCES and it functions on all working days of the college and also caters to the needs of the students of our sister concern People Institute of Management Studies.
College Bus:The college is having four buses operating in the pre-determined routes considering in the requirements of students routes. Students can board the bus from fixed point. Services to different routes will be arranged according to the number of students.
Free Wi-Fi: BSNL Broadband Internet Connectivity is available in the computer Lab. As many as 25 computer are set aside exclusively for internet search. To promote the internet usage among students, an internet user card system is introduced at concession rates. Card for 8 hours duration with 16 slots of 30 minutes each are available for Rs.50/ using the card internet can be used during 9 am to 4.30 pm on all days except Sunday and public holidays.
 
 Hostel Facility
There are two separate hostels for boys and girls run by the College. Vegetarian and non-vegetarian food is available. The hostels are governed by the rules and regulations framed by the Management.
