The Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, Chennai was established in 1963 jointly sponsored by the Government of Tamil Nadu and the Govt. of India at national Level is Affiliated to National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Noida & Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi. Institute of Hotel Management, Chennai has provided high quality courses in Hotel & Catering for over 50 years and has excellent links with the industry and has made a name at global and national level providing personnel for the industry both at Home and abroad.

 
 Hostel Facility
Separate Boys and Girls Hostel are available within the Institute campus.The hostels are well furnished and looked after by the Deputy Warden/Hostel Incharges under the control of the Principal who is the Warden.
