A.J. College of Science and Technology was established in 1995 on the side of national high way near Kumaran Asan Memorial. It was the fulfillment of a long cherished desire of the management to start an institution of higher education offering degree and post graduate courses in professional area. In the beginning B.Sc Computer Science, B.Sc Electronics and B.Com with Computer Application were introduced by taking into consideration through great demand for professionals in the field of Information Technology.Now the college offers 9 Degree courses and 6 Post Graduate courses. The college aims not only at the attainment of intellectual excellence and imparting of skills, but also teaching of moral, spiritual and ethical values to the integrated development of human personality whereby, the students are made citizens of good character and of high intellectual ability.

1 .	B.Sc. Biochemistry and Industrial Microbiology
	Eligibility A pass in Higher Secondary Examination of the State or an Examination accepted by the University as equivalent thereto with Biology as one of the subjects. NB: Relaxation of marks in the qualifying examination as per rules ( for SC/ST – pass minimum , SEBC – 2% & PWD – 5% relaxation in the qualifying examination from the prescribed minimum for admission. )
	Duration 3 Years
	Fees (Appx.) Tuition and other fees will be charged at the rates prescribed by the University/Govt. Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstance.

2 .	M.Sc. Biochemistry
	Eligibility B.Sc with Bio-chemistry or Chemistry as optional main subject and any two of the following as Subsidiary subjects viz. Mathematics Physics Botany and Zoology under Part III securing not less than 55% marks for that part / B.Sc Industrial Fish and Fisheries ( Vocational )/ B.Sc Biological Techniques and Specimen Preparation ( Vocational )/ B.Sc Biochemistry and Industrial Microbiology ( restructured ). Subject combinations with Bio-Chemistry or Chemistry ( Vocational ) are also eligible. 25% seats will be reserved for candidates with B.Sc Bio-Chemistry.
