“A.K.G Memorial Co-operative College of Nursing”, a unit of Kannur Co-operative Hospital Society Ltd.No.C-834,was envisioned and established in August 2008 as a memorial of Sri.A.K.Gopalan (AKG). Sri. A.K Gopalan was a renowned politician, a fabulous orator and a great Parliamentarian in the Indian history and a person who toiled his life throughout for the upliftment of poor and downtrodden. AKGMCCON is one of the leading icon among the reputed nursing colleges all over India.
We have nearly well equipped 8 classrooms furnished with sophisticated teaching aids like LCD projector, overhead projectors. The lab facilities for the training of students includes Preclinical lab, Maternal And Child Health nursing lab, Nutrition lab, Computer lab with Internet facilities, AVaids lab, community health nursing lab with more than enough articles and instruments including models, simulators etc. Also we have digitalized examination hall too. The library is equipped with more than 3000 books and magazines, national and international journals including e - journals.
