The Polytechnic is located at Konampatti on the Sivakasi-Sattur Road about 8 Km from Sivakasi Town and 9 Km from Sattur Town. It was sponsored by the Janakiammal Ayyanadar Trust, Sivakasi which is a public Charitable Trust. Now, it is being run by Ayyanadar Janakiammal Technical Education Committee, Sivakasi. The Polytechnic campus is 64.38 acres in extent and is provided with all modern amenities.

1 .	Diploma in Architectural Assistantship
	Eligibility A pass in SSLC with eligibility for admission to I year of Higher Secondary School in Tamil Nadu HSC Board Schools; or Any other qualification recognised as equivalent to pass in SSLC or X standard of Tamil Nadu High Schools by the Director of School Education Secondary Education Board, Tamil Nadu. For Direct II year Diploma Courses : A Pass in HSC (Academic) or (Vocational) courses offered in the Higher Secondary Schools in Tamil Nadu affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary Board with eligibility for University courses of study. The Candidates Should have studied one related subject and one vocational subject consisting, one theory and two practicals or Should have studied two related subjects and one vocational subject consisting of one theory and one practicals. Candidates who have studied Commerce subjects are not eligible for Engineering Diploma Courses.
