Equipped to serve is the motto with which the C.S.I. Polytechnic was started in the year 1984 on self financing basis. The Institute is run by Coimbatore Diocese of Church of South India, a Christian organisation known for its work in the field of Education. The Bishop in Coimbatore is the Chairman of the Polytechnic. The object of the Polytechnic is to give the students a quality Technical education for all castes and creeds to become useful and practical engineers and to equip them in the service of God and people. The college is known for its technical excellence, infrastructure facilities, steadily increasing record of performance with excellent results and enterprising students. The college is located on a spacious campus on the Yercaud highway
Library : The library is housed in a separate room in the main building. Library is kept open on all working days and even during vacation. The library has a collection of 12,000 volumes including back volumes, I.S.I. Standards, Book Bank Books, Delnet books Etc.
Hostel Facility
The Hostels for both Boys and Girls of the Institute are available in two separate campuses. The Boys Hostel is located in campus on Saradha College Road which consists of two blocks, namely Bernard Thomas Block and Vedanayagam Block. Nearly 260 students are accommodated in both the Blocks. The rooms are furnished with cotts. The Girls Hostel is situated in the institute in the Institute Campus itself housing at about 50 girls.
The Institute has a Training and placement cell, headed by a Faculty member. The cell interacts with leading industries and arrange for campus interview and offers sample of job opportunities to the final year students of various disciplines.
