Latha Mathavan Polytechnic College Promoted by Karuppiah Pillai Theivanai Ammal Educational Trust during 1996-97 to provide a “HIGH CLASS QUALITY TECHNICAL EDUCATION” to the young boys and girls along with due care on personality development and moral discipline. The Latha Mathavan Polytechnic College is affiliated to Directorate of Technical Education Board, Govt. of Tamil Nadu, Approval No.G.O.M.S.No.434 dated 15.7.1996 and also approved by All India Council for Technical Education, Govt of India, New Delhi, Approval No.F.73052-149(E)/ET/96 dated 23.5.1996.
The College campus has a Wide area of 35 Acres situated in a greeny belt surround by Alagarmalai Hills gives a natural beauty and a pleasant environment suits education. The College has spacious well-designed, adequately furnished ventilated and airy classrooms. All the laboratories of engineering and sciences are well equipped with the required equipments. The college is facilitated with 82.5 KVA capacity generators to ensure uninterrupted power source for the conduct of routine activities. The laboratories and workshops are fully equipped with state of art of facilities; particularly the Computer, CAD/CAM Lab, 2 MBPS Internet and Language Labs are value added assets to the Institution.
Placement and Training Cell in our Institution is a Team Headed by the Head of the Institution-Principal. A full time Placement Officer Mr.S.Santhakumar is co-ordinating the Team Comprises of the HODs and the Department Placement Cell Co-ordinators. The Aim of this team is to achieve 100% Placement for the entire JOB NEEDY Students thro the Dedication, Attitude and the Involvement. Placement and Training Cell coordinates various Programmes that aim the students to be moulded as per the Expectations of the Industries. Placement and Training Cell acts as per the rules and regulations formed by the college.
