Mahendra engineering college for women is established by the Mahendra Educational Trust under the visionary leadership of renowned educationalist Shri.M.G.Bharathkumar, who is the Chairman of the Trust and a well-known Philanthropist in this region. Realising the importance of technical education for women, Mahendra Educational trust started its first college exclusively for women, Mahendra engineering college for women in 2008, at Kumaramangalam in Tiruchengode, Namakkal District. The college is an AICTE approved institution, affiliated to Anna university Coimbatore, and offers four undergraduate programmes in the field of Engineering and Technology.
The College has good infrastructural facilities and imparts quality education through its qualified, young and vibrant faculty. It has plans to start several other popular programmes in engineering and technology in the years to come.
Hostel Facility
Mahendra Engineering College for Women has well-furnished hostel for girls. Hostel is facilitated with single, double bed and dormitory, hot and cold purified drinking water, 24 hour power backup, communication and entertainment, indoor games like Chess, Carom and modern Gym, outdoor games such as cricket, volleyball, common reading room, dining hall and medical facilities.
Scholarship Facility
Mahendra Engineering College for Women is devoted to extend the hand towards the students who dream to do higher studies from poor economic background. Students from backward communities who have eligibility for admission are also given concessions and scholarships.

On concentrating this in mind the Training and Placement Cell bridges the career aspirations of the students and the requirements of the recruiters in an effective manner. The cell gives special attention on improving the students to attend placement programmes and perform successfully. It has an efficient team to train the students by giving the training in Personality development, Aptitude and Technical tests, Communication skills, Group discussion, interview etc. The Training and Placement cell works through the constant interaction with companies and organizes industrial visits, in-plant training and projects for the students. Students are trained in the advanced Communication and Career lab for fluent communication and creative competence. Aptitude, reasoning, logical, problem solving and soft skills are taught to the students by the concerned experts.
