Vallabh Government Post Graduate College Mandi has registered its affiliation under the University of Himachal Pradesh (HPU), Shimla. The college reaccreditation is under process by NAAC. The college is named after Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, ‘The Iron Man’ the architect of modern India. It was established in 1948 as the first degree college of erstwhile Himachal Pradesh. Now it is among the best colleges of the state dedicated to the cause of learning. Since its inception, the college has endeavored to harmonize the streams of tradition and modernity in its functioning. It aims at imparting education that will inculcate a sense of devotion and service among the students.

1 .	B.A. (Bachelor of Arts)
	Eligibility A candidate who has passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with 33% marks; If a candidate intends to take up Mathematics in B.A. I he/she should have studied Mathematics at 10+2 level and secured either 45% marks in Mathematics or 50% marks in aggregate.
	Duration 3 years

2 .	B.Com. (Bachelor of Commerce)
	Eligibility candidate who has passed 10+2 or equivalent examination; Minimum percentage of marks for admission to the Ist year of B.Com. is 40% for boys and 33% for girls; An applicant seeking admission in B.Com. I year must have passed 10+2 in commerce or should have studied Mathematics/Economics as compulsory subject at 10+2 level.

3 .	B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education)
	Eligibility Graduates/ Post Graduates
	Duration 1 year
	Admission Procedure Admission to the B.Ed. programme will be regulated and conducted as per the norms prescribed by H.P. University. Candidates will have to apply directly to the college for admission, which will be purely on merit basis and scrutiny of forms will be done in presence of Observer from H.P. University.

4 .	B.Sc. (Bachelor of Science)
	Eligibility A candidate who has passed 10+2 or equivalent examination; An applicant seeking admission in B.Sc. year must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics at 10+2 level.
	Duration 3 years
	Other Details Students of B.Sc. shall have to study General Hindi or Genral Sanskrit as compulsory subjects. A student shall opt one of the following subject combinations in B.Sc.1year Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Botany, Zoology and Chemistry. Zoology, Biotechnology and Chemistry. Botany, Biotechnology and Chemistry.

5 .	BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration)
	Eligibility Plus two examination under 10+2 system or examination equivalent thereto of a Board / University established by law in India, with 50% Marks (45% marks in case of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe Candidates). OR Any examination of a university / Board / College or School in a foreign country recongnised as equivalent for the above purpose by the Vice- Chancellor /Equivalence committee with 50% marks (45% in case of SC /ST candidates).

6 .	BCA
