Law Department was established in 1969 as the first Department of law in the State of Haryana to impart legal education and to conduct original and fundamental research in the contemporary areas of law and allied subjects. Since its inception, very renowned, eminent and outstanding scholars have headed the Department.
In order to meet the challenges of globalization and liberalization and to develop an institution of excellence in legal education, Kurukshetra University established the Institute of Law in the Year 2001 on its campus to offer 5-year Integrated Law Course.
The Institute has its own library well-stocked with books on Law and other allied subjects with a spacious reading hall. The Institute subscribes all the leading Law Reports and Journals of National and International repute including Harvard Law Review. The students have a free access to the University Central Library with ‘ERNET’ facilities and the Library of the Department of Law
