L.R. Institute of Legal Studies has been established to impart quality legal education in the form of a five year law course after the 10+2 stage. The Institute is governed by the statutes/ordinances applicable to the five year Law course of the Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla. The Institute is the creation of the Lala Lilu Ram Educational Trust (Regd.), Head Office: Nissing (Karnal). The Institute is dedicated to the service of the people of Himachal Pradesh as well as other parts of the country. The Institute intends to impart legal education by adopting scientific teaching and laying stress on clinical legal education as well. The campus of the Institute is presently located in Village – Jabli-Kyar (Sultanpur Road) PO: Oachghat, which is at a distance of 8 Kms from the Main Solan city, Via Rajgarh Road.

Eligibility
The admission to this course shall be made on the basis of the marks obtained in the qualifying examinations i.e. 10 +2. There will be no separate entrance Test. For resolving a tie for admission the candidate having higher aggregate marks in the Matriculation and 10+2 taken together shall be admitted first. If the tie is not resolved, the candidate senior in age shall be admitted first.
