The L.R. institute of Education has been established to impart quality education in the field of B. Ed. Course after graduation. The institute is governed by the statutes/Ordinances applicable to the B. Ed. Course of the Himachal Pradesh University Shimla. The institute is the creation of the Lala Lilu Ram Educational Trust (Regd.), Head office: Nissing (Karnal). The institute is dedicated to provide service to the people of Himachal Pradesh as well as other parts of the country. The campus of the institute is presently located in village Jabli-Kyar (Sultanpur Road) P.O. Oachghat which is at the distance of 8 Kms from the main Solan city, via Rajgarh Road. The institute has also a job placement cell so as to help deserving students in seeking jobs in the public/private sector.

The hostel rooms are equipped with all the modren facilities. These are spacious, well furnished hostels. Apart from hygienic foods, hostels provide recreational facilities including TVs, indoor games etc. Each hostel has its own wardens and a member of faculty who administers the hostels
Placement cell of L.R. Group has taken upon itself the onerous yet fulfilling task of assisting the students bettering their career prospect by providing them need based and result- oriented training programmes that help them achieve their need. This process is engaged through modern training facilities and innovative methodology which work at satisfying the objective of providing career guidance to students, co-ordination with prospective external agencies/industries/companies and suitably enriching the experience on both sides. The Placement Cell is headed by a committee that exerts itself in order to maintain the high level of interaction enjoyed by the companies with the students, thereby helping the latter to develop successful job strategies and career wise decision-making and other skills commensurate with the expectations of the industry. A good collection of reference books and pertinent articles are available for purposes of understanding the scope of operations better. The members in-charge are available on call to respond to students questions and concerns including advice on placement procedures, help with preparation of applications, curriculum vitae and reference letters etc
